PARISH PARK BINGO & LOTTO: Some good news for a change this week!. The committee met this week and are looking at ways to bring in much-needed funding to the Community Centre. As you all know Bingo and lotto are our main source of income and despite COVID unfortunately the bills still have to be paid, but recent developments in the way we run bingo have also changed due to COVID 19 and the current restrictions on crowd gatherings. This means it is not feasible to run bingo in the conventional way until the government decide it is safe for large crowds to come together again, as it stands this may be some time away. So not to disappoint our regular bingo goers and lotto supporters we are looking at doing bingo online and also lotto online. Some of our committee and a few of our bingo goers experimented last week and took part in online bingo from the comfort of their home and played an online bingo in County Cork with great success, the feedback was very positive. We have to invest in a piece of equipment and hope to be up and running for Monday, August 10th. This is a new and exciting leap forward for regular bingo goers but as one of our passionate bingo players and supports said it will be lovely to sit at home on a cold wet winters night and play Streete bingo at the fire without having to venture out. So please pass the word around and for those who don’t come out to bingo, this is a great opportunity to help and support our Parish Park and keep the doors open. More next week.
