Badminton: A very successful meeting will held last Tuesday night, for those interested in setting up a badminton club. Great interest was shown in forming a social badminton club, so from now until the end of the season in April Badminton will be held on Wednesday nights from 8.30 pm in Streete Parish Park. Parish Park Bingo & Lotto: Our Parish Park online and hall Bingo is going well and we encourage our community to please support us in any way possible. The past few years have proved difficult for every community with no letup in sight. Our bingo has for many years been our main source of income for our community centre, but these strange times have put an extra workload on the committee to keep the centre open for everyone to enjoy. So please do your best to help us by spreading the word about our bingo and lotto. Bingo is an easy and simple game to play, it just requires a bit of luck. You can get a playbook on the night or check out the link at our new web page, www.Streete and District.ie or our Facebook page Streete Parish Park online bingo. SOCIAL DANCE: Special thanks to Michael Cahill, who came all the way from Cork to entertain our social dancing fans last Friday night. Michael played a great selection of get-out and dance music to suit all tastes. Next month we have yet another great band, Magic Moments all the way from Co, Tyrone Music is from 9.30 with the usual complimentary supper and a free raffle. Meet many new faces and make new friends while enjoying a great night out. Dancing from 9.30 p.m.-12 with admission €10.
Walking Track Membership: The Committee would like to thank everyone who paid for membership and remind you that your membership is now due for renewal. Single membership is €20, and a family is €30. Church Notes: Masses and Adoration this week Streete/Rathowen: This coming Sunday is the 5th Sunday in Ordinary time. Vigil Mass every Saturday in Boherquill at 8 Pm. Every Sunday in Rathowen at 10 am. Mass this week Tuesday, Boherquill 9.30 Am. Wednesday Rathowen 9.30 Am Thursday, Rathowen 9.30 Am, adoration 10 to 10.30 Friday Boherquill 8 pm. Adoration 7 – 8 pm. Offertory Envelopes for the upkeep of the parish are available for collection in both churches. Upcoming dates to remember: Feb 1st St Bridgets day. Pilgrimage to Medjugorje: The trip will take place from the 4th to the 11th of October flying out from Knock airport. The cost of the trip is €815 to book your place contact Jerry Nally or Breda Durkin, a deposit of €100 is required to secure your place.
