Christmas Market: A new and exciting Christmas market is coming to Streete Parish Park on Sunday, November 26th The market will feature all that is good and great about Artisans and Crafters in our wider local area. We are amazed at all the local talent out there and want to share what we find with you and support these imaginative and crafty people! If you are interested in taking a stall to sell your home-baked creations or homemade gifts then please send us your name and number with a brief description to handmadechristmas2023@gmail.com and we will get back to you ASAP. Please book early as spaces are limited. We ask you to tell a friend and spread the great news.
SOCIAL DANCING: A fantastic turnout last Friday night at our social dance to the delightful sound of Liam Mannering and Maria, The duo are well-known as top entertainers on the dance scene and we look forward to having them back again in the future. The next Dance is this Friday 29th September, with the legend of social dance, Shobud with lead singer Robert Brown, The group hails from Big Tom Country, Castleblaney are a long-established band that play a great mix of country and social dance music for your enjoyment..A brilliant night of Dancing is guaranteed. Doors open from 9.00 til late
Badminton: Badminton will start back on Wednesday 20th of September at 8.30 pm in Streete Parish Park. New members, improvers and beginners of all ages are welcome to join. Please come along and tell a friend. all ages are welcome, Call Maeve at 086 3652445 or Kevin 087 1375222
RUN/WALK: The annual 5k Run/Walk which hasn't taken place for a few years due to Covid is back and takes place starting at Streete Parish Park at 7 p.m. on Friday, 8th September, registration at 6 p.m. We ask parents and family members to spread the great news. If you would like to make a donation or give a prize for the raffle it will be greatly appreciated. Please remember that Streete Parish Park Complex and facilities are run by a voluntary committee that needs support so please give this a thought. Vintage magazine: It's hard to believe but Streete Vintage show is almost 21 years old. From humble beginnings, our show has gone from strength to strength over the years. We are hoping to celebrate this marvellous achievement with a special 21st collectors magazine with photos and stories from over these fantastic years. If you would like to contribute or mention a supporter who is no longer with us on our memory wall, please let us know. Help is required in collecting the stories and photos and I call on your support to do this. Please contact me as it takes time to put it all together. We are also inviting sponsors to come forward early. The vintage committee appreciate your help and support in this momentous publication. Thank You: Mel Newman, Coolnagun and his son Simon and extended family would like to thank Fr Pierre and everyone who offered their condolences and support at the sad passing of Mels, wife Jackie recently. Jackie's ashes were laid to rest in a family plot in Coolamber cemetery on Saturday last. Your intentions will be remembered at mass on Saturday coming.

Boherquill Ramblers: On Sunday 03 September 2023 the Ramblers will return after their August break with a walk in Derrycassin Wood beside Lough Gowna. Sunday in Rathowen at 10 am. Mass this week Tuesday, Boherquill 9.30 Am. Wednesday Rathowen 9.30 Am Thursday, Rathowen 9.30 Am, adoration 10 to 10.30 Friday, 8 pm with adoration 7 to 8 pm
