PLAY: - thanks to all who supported Seamus O’Rourke’s play “And Thank You” in Streete Parish Park Centre last Saturday night written and performed by the author and it was a great success.  Monies from this event go towards necessary repairs to the parochial House in Boherquill.

BOHERQUILL RAMBLERS: - A 10km loop walk based on Kenagh provided the Ramblers with a first-class afternoon's exercise on Sunday 25 November 2018. Pat O'Rourke led the way, taking in the Lime Walk which is a well-known walking route, and a section of the Royal Canal. At one point a field full of turkeys and geese was a reminder of the approaching festive season. Thank you to Pat for leading the walk and to Bee O'Rourke for the delicious fruit cake at the end of the walk.
The Ramblers 2018 Christmas Dinner will be held on Sunday 9 December at the Annebrook House Hotel in Mullingar. There will be a walk at 2pm starting at the hotel and the meal will begin at 4.30pm. Places are €30 each and donations of gifts up to the value of €10 are invited for the raffle.

SANTA’S POST BOX; Streete Parish Park Committee are delighted to take delivery of Santa’s magic post box this week. We are very honoured to have been selected by Santa Claus this year again, as the drop off point for all the little boys and girls Santa letters.
Santa has assured us if you post your letter early in his special magic post box at the Parish Park, remembering to put your name and address on the letter, he will do his best to answer your letter personally and no child will be left out. Santa has already sent some of his helper elves from the North Pole to Streete Parish Park to help in putting up the Christmas tree and Nativity crib. This is a special time of year for all ages.
If you have any unwanted decorations that would help to make our community centre look nice for Christmas or you want to make a donation please call Declan 086 8123514, James 086 3125876 or Kevin 087 1375222 or drop into the girls in the office Tues to Thursday 10 till 2 pm.

Table Quiz Cancelled: Due to so many events taking place coming up to the Christmas period and in the interest of fairness to schools, clubs and party goers who would like to take part in the quiz, we have decided to postpone the quiz until the New Year. We apologise if you were looking forward to the night, but watch this space for a new date coming soon!
