Inny Football Club
The club is actively seeking U14 Girls to compete and play soccer, all girls born between 2013 and 2014 are asked to come along take a demo and play the beautiful game.

Boherquill Ramblers
The Ramblers returned from their August break with a walk at Ballinafid near Mullingar on Sunday 6 September 2026. They followed the loop walk through the forest and onto the stony beach of Lough Owel before turning back. On the way back to the car park some of the group walked round the boardwalk beside Ballinafid Lake and were surrounded by luxuriant early autumn foliage on the trees and shrubs.
On Sunday 20 September 2026 the Ramblers will meet at 14:00 (2 PM) in the car park behind Dealz in Longford before driving on to Stone Park for a walk along the abandoned canal between Longford and Killashee. See boherquillramblers.ie.
Coolamber ICA Guild
The Irish Countrywomen’s Association. The ICA ladies meet up on the first Tuesday of every month in Streete Parish Park at 7 PM, new members are always welcome to attend for more information call Sinead Butler on (087) 996 8138.

50/50 Draw
Streete Parish Park Committee are delighted to announce our seventh winner of our new 50/50 draw. Our winner who scooped over €500 in our new guaranteed fundraising initiative which will run Biweekly to start off. You can buy as many draw tickets as you want.
You can also buy a draw ticket in the usual way at €5 for a draw number or €10 for three draw numbers. When the draw takes place, whatever amount of money is raised at the time of the draw, will be split 50/50 between the winner and Streete Parish Park. This system gives you have a much better chance of winning.
All money raised will go directly into the upkeep of our community centre and future development. Our draws will be held regularly, our next draw 21st September 2026 with a minimum win of €500.

Parish Park Community Centre Notes
Tenders For All Weather Astro-Turf Pitch
Planning permission has been lodged for our new all-weather Astro-Turf pitch, including ball-stop netting, floodlights, drainage and access pathways. We have been advised that the tendering process can now proceed, subject to planning. We sincerely thank our local representatives for their letters of support. Future phases will include consideration of a playground upgrade and running track.
Badminton
Badminton will start back on Wednesday 7th of October at 20:30 (8.30 PM) in Streete Parish Park. New members, improvers and beginners of all ages are welcome to join. Please come along and tell a friend all ages are welcome. For further information Call Maeve (086) 365 2445 or Kevin (087) 137 5222.
Yoga

Streete Village Tea Party
We are delighted to confirm that the ‘The Tea Party’ is taking place on Saturday 10th October in Streete Parish Park at 20:00 (8:00 PM). This year the party will support Streete Tidy Towns and the community centre. A wonderful social event and an opportunity for parents, Neighbours, and friends to gather for a grand evening.
Streete Community Holistic Fair

Lisryan Tidy Village Development
Lisryan Tidy Village Development in conjunction with Longford Women’s Link are holding a CHARITY CAR WASH! At Granard farmers mart from 11:00 AM til 16:00 (4 PM) on Saturday 19th September. Come along and get your car sparkling clean while supporting two fantastic local causes!
The group are also Climbing of Sliabh Bán on Saturday, 26th September.
A great day out, a great challenge and, most importantly, supporting our local community.

The Committee of Streete Parish Park would like to extend our sympathies to Sean Keaveney Rathowen and the extended Keaveney, Hannelly family on the death of his Mother Dell (Ellen) Keaveney Roscommon. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Jimmy Scally, Mayne, Coole.
Our deepest sympathies are expressed to Karen Scally and family Coolnagun, on the sad passing of her dear father Jimmy Scally, Mayne, Coole. (ex Bord na Móna) Jimmy passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family by his side.
Predeceased by his loving wife Ann, parents Michael and Mary Scally, sister Kathleen and brother John (Sean), parents-in-law James and Elizabeth O'Neill, sister-in-law Irene and nephews Karl and Declan.
Jimmy will be greatly missed by his children Edel, Lorraine, David, Derek, Sabrina, Karen, Enda and Deirdre; his thirteen grandchildren; extended family, neighbours and friends. May his gentle soul rest in heavenly peace.

Bishop Paul Connell, will visit St Mary’s Church Rathowen on Monday September 21st at 7.30 Pm. The bishop will celebrate mass to mark the inauguration of the new diocesan adoration Committee. All are welcome to attend.
