Streete Vintage Club
Our annual AGM for the year 2026/2027 will be held on Friday October 9th in Streete Parish Park. All members and new members welcome on the night. Our second annual appreciation party will be held in Burkes bar Coole on Sunday 25th of October with live music from 9pm with Brian Mullen. All welcome
Inny Football Club
The club is actively seeking U14 Girls to compete and play soccer, all girls born between 2013 and 2014 are asked to come along take a demo and play the beautiful game.

Boherquill Ramblers
The Ramblers met at Stone Park near Longford on Sunday 20th September 2026 for a walk along the abandoned spur canal which was built to connect Longford to the Royal Canal at Killashee. The winding path beside the canal was a very attractive greenway, shaded by trees and enjoyed by walkers and cyclists alike. As it was along a canal there were two or three beautiful original stone bridges, some almost completely covered in greenery. Thank you to Nini for leading the afternoon’s walk.
On Sunday 4th October 2026 the Ramblers will meet at 2pm at Mary Lynch’s pub at Coralstown, beside the N4 east of Mullingar, See boherquillramblers.ie.
Coolamber ICA Guild
The Irish Countrywomen’s Association. The ICA ladies meet up on the first Tuesday of every month in Streete Parish Park at 7 PM, new members are always welcome to attend for more information call Sinead Butler on (087) 996 8138.
Streete & District Heritage Society
Streete & District Heritage Society is a group of like-minded people with a shared love of our local history. Our aim is to record the story of our parish townland by townland – its people, homes, families, and the journeys of those who left Streete for new lives around the world. We want to map the heritage remembered by local people: old field names, wells, gates, forges, Mass paths, hedge schools, old roads, ruins and forgotten places, along with the stories attached to them.
We also hope to reconnect old homesteads and families with our local cemeteries, including burial places where no headstone remains, creating a simple searchable grave and plot finder. Above all, we want to preserve the knowledge held in our community before it is lost – ensuring every townland, every family and every story has its place in the history of Streete. We are asking people of all ages to get involved.
Become an ambassador for your townland, family or particular area of interest and help us uncover and preserve its story. We would especially love to hear from people who have left the parish but still call Streete home at heart. Wherever in the world you may be, you can still be part of preserving the story of where you came from.

Seniors Alert Scheme
Have you got a Seniors Alert monitor? The Seniors Alert Scheme has provided peace of mind, reassurance and added security to older people in our community for many years. This free to install personal monitored alarm is a valuable support, particularly for anyone aged 65 or over who lives alone, or for those with mobility difficulties.
If you already have a Seniors Alert monitor, you may be eligible for an upgrade free of charge. Perhaps you have a family member, neighbour, or know someone in the community who could benefit from the scheme.

Parish Park Community Centre Notes
Tenders For All Weather Astro-Turf Pitch
Planning permission has been lodged for our new all-weather Astro-Turf pitch, including ball-stop netting, floodlights, drainage and access pathways. We have been advised that the tendering process can now proceed, subject to planning. We sincerely thank our local representatives for their letters of support. Future phases will include consideration of a playground upgrade and running track.
Badminton will start back on Wednesday 7th of October at 20:30 (8.30 PM) in Streete Parish Park. New members, improvers and beginners of all ages are welcome to join. Please come along and tell a friend all ages are welcome. For further information Call Maeve (086) 365 2445 or Kevin (087) 137 5222.

Pickleball is on every Monday morning and is doing very well, why not come along and take part in this easy to play game in great company. 10:00 AM till 11.30 AM.

Social Dancing
Another great night of Dancing was held in the park last Friday night to the sounds of Magic Moments. Next Dance is on 30th October, when the Silver Moon Dance Band will take to the stage for a brilliant night of Dancing. Doors open from 9.00 till Late.
Streete Village Tea Party
We are delighted to confirm that the ‘The Tea Party’ is taking place on Saturday 10th October in Streete Parish Park at 20:00 (8:00 PM). This year the party will support Streete Tidy Towns and the community centre. A wonderful social event and an opportunity for parents, Neighbours, and friends to gather for a grand evening. Streete Community Holistic Fair
