Boherquill Ramblers

On Sunday 7 April 2019 Ramblers Marita MacNerney and Mary Brady led the group on a new walk based on Ardagh, County Longford. They headed west out of the picturesque village and onto a trail through the forest in Cartrongarrow. The trail was newly surfaced, making for easy walking through the mix of broadleaf trees and shrubs just coming into leaf and evergreen trees, some of them felled in one area. Bilberry or fraughan plants were spotted beside the path as it wandered through the forest.

Many thanks to Marita and Mary for researching and leading this wonderful new walk for the Ramblers.
There will be no walk on Sunday 21 April as it is Easter Sunday.  Any club members who plan to join the trip to Wales for the 2019 June Bank Holiday weekend and have not yet paid the balance of the full price to Nini Murray are asked to do so immediately to secure their place.
