Deepest sympathies: Are expressed to the Devaney Family Ballaghgowla, Coolamber, on the sad passing of Pat Devaney. Pat passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Annie, infant son Martin and infant sister Margaret. Pat will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken family, his wife Mary, son Padraig, daughters Deirdre and Niamh, brother Owen, sisters Bella, Ann, Marie, Claire, Nuala and Susan, son-in-law Darren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and his many dear friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
RUN/WALK Change of Date: Due to road safety concerns with the evenings closing into darkness earlier, we have decided to move the date and event to a family fun walk on Sunday, September 24th starting at 2 p.m. Please note the 5k Competitors Run will move to a new date, yet to be decided. We would like to see more families enjoying and supporting this event. We ask parents and family members to come out and support this local walk with all proceeds going to our community centre. Please remember that Streete Parish Park Complex and facilities are run by a voluntary committee that needs support so please give this a thought. The money collected will be used to purchase Christmas decorations for the hall and the remaining money will go towards the upkeep of the parish park. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase local craftsman and artisan producers and to bring them all together under one big roof for the wider community to enjoy. We encourage everyone to come out and support us on November 26th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for what promises to be a great day out and the perfect place to meet up with neighbours and friends and do some early Christmas shopping, Don’t forget we will have some delicious food vendors on the day, so you can take the day off from cooking…oh and Santa will be in his Grotto that day waiting to see all the lovely children in this part of the world.
