The death has occurred of Joe (Joseph) Fagan
Curragh, Rosemount, Moate, Westmeath

Died peacefully, in his 96th year, at his son Martin's residence, Lisryan, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his loving wife Rita (nee Keegan). Sadly missed by his family Marie (Browne), Joe, Frances (McCarrick), Gerry, Martin. sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Ann (Anne) McCauley (née Nally)
Bohernacross, Edgeworthstown, Longford

Ann died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in Mullingar Regional Hospital, on November 23rd, 2022. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Bridget and her brother Paddy. Ann will be sadly missed by her family, husband Pat, sons Enda, Kevin, Martin and Patrick, daughters Olive and Sinéad, sons-in-law John and Paddy, daughters-in-law, Chrissy, Laura, Marie and Zuzana, her adored grandchildren Callum, Shane, Megan, Kobe, Kadri, Mason, Aoife, Rossa and Kai, sisters Kathleen, May and Chris, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and dear friends.

The death has occurred of Bridie Walsh, nee Keary, Mitchelstown, Delvin, Co. Westmeath on the 27th November, 2022 peacefully after a short illness in the loving care of her family and the nursing staff in St. Camillus Nursing Centre, Killucan. Predeceased by her husband Willie, son Ciarán and brother Tom.

Loving mother of Colin, Robert and Liam. Bridie will be sadly missed by her sons, sister Mary and brothers John and Brendan (Streete, Co. Westmeath), daughters in law Olivia and Laura and Robert's partner Sharon, her loving grandson Billy, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Deepest sympathies: are extended to Mel Dunleavy and family Coole, on the sad passing of his sister Maureen Smith of Nottingham, England, May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Cnoc Mhuire's senior music: Cnoc Mhuire enrolment is currently accepting applications to enrol for 6th class students until Dec 1st. Further details can be found on our school website.
Charity Night Lisryan: Fundraising night in lisryan on Friday 2nd December for the mater hospital foundation. Over 20 lads growing beards and moustaches for 30 days will be left baby-faced by the end of the night. Live music and raffle on the night. Please support a great cause. Santa dash and Christmas market: 3Km run walk in the crossroads Lisryan Sunday, December 4th with a special visit from Santa along with children's entertainment and Santa gift for more and book a stall contact Pauline in the shop.
Bingo Every Monday Night 8.30: Bingo is back in the hall every Monday night; We will announce our Christmas bingo specials soon. The new Hybrid bingo system is working out well and the response has been very positive all round, We have reintroduced the lucky number and free book draw on Monday nights and hope to make some more welcome changes in the new year. This new blend of online bingo and hall bingo makes the game more accessible for all who enjoy playing the wonderful game. So please spread the word we are back. And remember the more people play and support us the better the prize money gets. Walking Track Membership: It's that time of year again. The Committee would like to thank everyone who paid for membership for the past number of years and would like to remind you that your membership is now due for renewal in January. New member application forms can be found in the entrance hall of the Parish Park or by calling into the office upstairs Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 10 am until 1.30 pm. Single membership is €20, and a family is €30. We also remind you this would make a great Christmas present to someone. Active Retirement Meeting: Our next meeting will take place this Wednesday at 11 am, We will discuss our next outing to the Abby Theater in January. We have pre-booked the best seats in the house. The play we are going to see is called the WEIR which won the Best New Play at its premiere night and has since been staged the world over. The play is set in a rural pub on a windy night in Ireland, the landlord and his regulars share old stories, memories, gossip and banter which turns ghostly and mesmerizing. Fairy Light Tractor Run: The convoy will set off from Streete Parish Park around 6 p.m. participants will follow a speed-controlled management vehicle which set the pace along the well-organised 10 Km route before the incredible sight will make its way back to Streete Parish Park. The Streete Bowls Club: The club will hold its annual Christmas Doubles competition this year. After three weeks of intense and exciting competitions the following couples have made it through to the quarter finals. Catherine Costello and Mary Smith versus Seamus Moran and Kevin Sheedy. Michael Fleming and Bill Bennett versus Mick Turner and Mel Dunleavy. Andy Boyle and Jimmy Kelly versus Sam Donnaghy and Paul Holdroyd. Eamon Carty and John Fox versus Micheál Gillen and Paul Flood. Club members would like to extend their sympathy to Mel Dunleavy on the recent death of his sister. Also, condolences to the Fagan family Lisryan on the passing of Martin's father Joe. May they rest in peace. New and lapsed members are very welcome to join the club. Bowls is a relaxing sport anyone can play, regardless of age or ability, we welcome
interested people to come and watch the game at Streete Parish Park on Tuesday nights at 8 o'clock. Instructions for newcomers are given by experienced club members, all are welcome.
Streete Wildlife Club: The winter league is now in full swing as we approach week 5. As the saying goes the cream is now starting to come to the top, but it is still all to shoot for ahead of the final night on December 15th. The club would like to offer its sincere sympathy to club member Martin Fagan Lisryan on the death of his father Joe Fagan Rosemount. Also to Mary Tully, Brendan & Johnny kerry Streete on the death of their sister Bridie Walsh Delvin. May they both rest in peace.

Church Notes: Masses & Adoration this week Streete/Rathowen: This coming Sunday is the first Sunday in the Advent calendar as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus it also marks the last Sunday of the church's year. Vigil Mass every Saturday in Boherquill at 8 Pm. every Sunday in Rathowen at 10 am. Mass this week Tuesday, Boherquill 9.30 Am. Wednesday Rathowen 9.30 Am Thursday, Rathowen 9.30 Am, adoration 10 to 10.30 Friday Boherquill 8 pm. Adoration 7 – 8pm.

Finance Council meeting: A meeting to discuss the formation of a new committee to oversee the finances of Streete, Rathowen parish into the future will take place this Thursday 1st in the Prosocial house Boherquill at 7.30 Pm. For more contact Fr Pierre.
Rosary continues: Rathowen, every Tuesday at 7 pm and Boherquill every Thursday at 7 Pm.
Men’s Prayer Group: Every Monday in the church in Boherquill at 8 pm. New participants are always most welcome to join us and receive the support of other men in their prayers and personal life. Please note: We had an extraordinarily great response to the men's retreat and day of reflection which will take place in the friary Multyfarnham on Saturday 10th December. Over 40 men ranging in age from 16 to 80 signed up. We hope to run more retreat days in the new year along with a retreat day for women. I ask you to pray for good intentions for friends and family over the festive season.
