Boherquill Ramblers

Marita and James MacNerney led the Ramblers walk in Edenmore Bog on Sunday 9 June 2019. The area north of Longford town is an attractive mix of hills and valleys with lots of choice for walkers. During Sunday's walk quiet side roads with wide-ranging views of the countryside led to peaceful green roads and finally on to tracks through the bog with cut turf laid out to dry and patches of bog cotton on each side.

Thank you to Marita and James for leading a most enjoyable walk and even managing to avoid the rain showers!  On Sunday 23 June 2019 the Ramblers will visit Newtownforbes for an 8km road walk led by Marita and James MacNerney. Cars will leave Boherquill at 1.30pm and meet at the church in the centre of Newtownforbes at 2pm.

New members and new walks are always welcome. For details phone Philip at 087 7753612 or Nini at 086 8754411.  See boherquillramblers.ie
